A leading student organization of highly qualified experts in Food Science and Technology in the Philippines.

What is PAFT?

It is a voluntary, non-profit association of individuals and companies committed to promoting food science and technology as a profession. It was established in 1960 and was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commissions (SEC) in 1970.

Who are We?

PAFT-Lambda (Philippine Association of Food Technologist, Inc. LAMD is the home organization of the UP Mindanao BS Food Technology Program that aims to develop and hone its member’s leadership, sociocultural, civic engagement, and social skills.

VISION

To be a leading student organization of highly qualified experts in Food Science and Technology in the Philippines, contributing to national development.

MISSION

To be an effective partner of the academe in providing relevant advocacy, training, consultancy in the field of Food Science and Technology for the national development and welfare of the general public.

Food Demo (cooking demo about the science of different food products)
E-diFTusion (an online acquaintance party to welcome the new food technology students and to foster friendship within the course)
Spice Sense (a guessing game of different food spices)
PAFT-Lamdiscovery (a series of posts on research breakthroughs in the food industry)
PAFTCornNight (a night of horror movie to allow students to bond and relieve stress)
Thesis-It (a webinar series on various undergraduate research topics)
Panagtigiay (a Food Science Poster and Quizbowl Competition)
